West Charlotte's Excelsior Club has a new owner as the $8M redevelopment continues. The historic Excelsior Club in west Charlotte has finally changed hands. The nonprofit Historical Excelsior purchased the club from Kenwood Investments for $1.7 million on Oct. 27, according to Mecklenburg County property records. The Excelsior Club at 921 Beatties Ford Road was sold for $1.7 million in October. In 2022, Kenwood bought two adjacent lots on Sanders Avenue for $325,000 to address the parking constraints. Those lots are included in the sale.
